I'm kind of dying over the whole Free People January catalog, but especially the overalls.  So many questions.  Can I pull off overalls?  Is it hard to go to the bathroom?  They might be awesome for work, I AM a nanny, after all.

& here is a lady who absolutely can pull off overalls, hot pink ones, nonetheless!

I think I've convinced myself to buy some.  Now, how does one accessorize overalls?

2013

I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year's Eve.  I had a blast, even though it was -10 degrees out here in Minnesota.  I wore this dress, but I didn't get a very good outfit picture

I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for me.  Here are some simple goals I have for myself, big and small.

I want to have a dinner party.  Hopefully more than one!  We've got all this great stuff from our wedding, but we've never hosted anything at our apartment.  I think I've got to just get over my feelings that it's too small, and go for it.

I want to get to yoga more often.  I always feel amazing after yoga, and I can feel myself getting better and better, but it always seems to take a backseat once I get busy.

I am going to get balayage highlights! This I am pretty excited about, and oh, so nervous.  I have virgin locks, and haven't dyed my hair since the tiger stripe trend of my eighth grade year, but my hair stylist (who is amazing!) has assured me this will make an awesome impact, without needing a ton of upkeep.

This one is a bit more abstract, but I want to get going on my life, and figuring out what I should be doing.  I'm at a bit of a standstill right now, and starting this blog is definitely part of that!  I recently left a graduate program I no longer felt was right for me, and then started taking a creative writing course.  I'm still not sure what my "dream job" is but I think I'm on the right path to figuring it out.

I also want us to buy a house this year!

New Years Eve + Links

Does everyone have their New Year's Eve plans figured out?  I have my outfit ready, but no where to go yet.  My friends are notoriously bad planners, and it is a complete mystery where I will be when the clock strikes midnight!

Here are some great New Year's themed links from around the internet:

In my dream life, I am spending New Year's Eve right here.

Yesterday & Today

What I have been doing lately...
Celebrated a great first Married Christmas with this cutie!
I've imbibed in a lot of green juice- looks gross, but so, so good! PS- Can you imbibe in something that's not alcohol?  Thoughts to ponder.
Wore this last night for a Girl's Wine Night- & noticed I should probably clean the mirror

Snuggled with this baby girl

& played in the snow!

Those Were the Most Blah of Times

Delsh green juice recipe from The Daybook
Ugh, this is such a weird time of the year.  I always fall into a little post Christmas depression funk, mixed with a little relief, exhaustion, and lack of dollars to my name.  I am also pretty sure I've eaten my body weight in brownies, apple pie, and champagne during the past weeks.  Anyone else?

Ian and I are planning on doing a little New Years Juicing this year, which has me both excited & nervous.  We watched this mind blowing documentary, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead a month ago, but never had a good time to really give it a go. Yesterday I went out and bought this juicer with a Crate and Barrel gift card we had left from our wedding, along with approximately 90 pounds of produce from Trader Joe's.  We're planning to ease ourselves in this last week of 2012 (I mean, we can't stop the champagne before New Years Eve, right??)  and then try a cleanse in January.  I've never really been big on New Years Resolutions (it always feels like to me that A New Chapter of life begins in September, no matter how many years I've been done with school!) but this seems like something that can help me get through the endless blah-ness of January.

My first juice ingredients!  From my instagram.
